Dear Friend in Christ,

After spending the entire month of August talking to you about the impact you can make by remembering your neighbors in need through your estate plan, I just want to say THANK YOU.

Many of you took the next step toward sharing God’s love with future generations, and some of you were even kind enough to let us know you’d already done so. You are a godsend. Your enduring support keeps the work of Lutheran World Relief going strong – until your love reaches every neighbor.

Today, I want to share a few stories of how you care for our brothers and sisters around the world, and how it impacts their lives. Please know I remember you in my prayers and give thanks always for your caring generosity.

Audrey Fisher is 93 years-young. (Yes, we said young!) She’s lived a long and rich life, filled with so much love that she has an abundance to share with others around the world. And that’s just what she’s done – to the tune of countless of quilts sewn!

It’s no secret that when a crisis or disaster strikes, Lutherans are among the first to step up to the plate – caring for neighbors and being God’s hands and feet in the world. Still, we are overwhelmed and thankful for the response of congregations toward our Ukrainian neighbors.
